Kyrgyz President signed Decree on dissolution of Parliament

The President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev signed today the decree on pre-schedule dissolution of Zhogorku kenesh (parliament), the agency reports referring to the press service of the head of the state.

Bishkek. October 22. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev signed today the decree on pre-schedule dissolution of Zhogorku kenesh (parliament), the agency reports referring to the press service of the head of the state.

"Zhogorku kenesh of Kyrgyzstan created crisis by its actions and decisions caused by insuperable contradictions between Zhogorku kenesh, representing the legislative branch of authority and the Constitutional Court of the Kyrgyzstan Republic, representing the judicial branch of authority," the decree of the leader of the state declares.

The decree comes into effect from the date of signing. The last parliamentary elections were held in Kyrgyzstan in February-March, 2005. Disagreement of the population with their results became the cause of March revolution.

In the mean time, today at the session of the Parliament many deputies resigned. Among them were Melis Eshimkanov, Rashid Tagayev and some others.
