Kyrgyzstan law enforcement bodies’ employees seized Kazakh company

Bishkek. July 14. Kazakhstan Today - In Bishkek employees of law enforcement bodies illegally seized the office of Kazakh Company Deniz Oil. Deniz Oil General Director Yermek Ongarbayev stated today at the press conference, the agency reports.

"Yesterday, on July 13, at 12.00 a.m. the operational group of Kyrgyz Internal Ministry inspected Deniz Oil company office sanctioned by Deputy Public Prosecutor approved by Internal Minister Marat Sutalinov. It was not a search, but a real seizure," Y. Ongarbayev informed journalists.

“As a result of security body activity the work of the company is completely paralyzed". The head of the company could not name the reasons of the incident." It is possible, it is the order of the competitors, probably, they wish to get money from us," he commented answering journalists’ questions. Y. Ongarbayev emphasized that the incident with Deniz Oil will negatively impact on inflow of Kazakh investments to Kyrgyzstan.

Deniz Oil has been working in Kyrgyzstan for three years. The company has 55 gas stations on the territory of the Republic, 95 % of the enterprise belongs to Kazakhstan investors. Consumers of Deniz Oil production are state residence 1 and 2, motor transportation association of the Administrative Office of Kyrgyz President, Service of National Safety (SNS), and Frontier Service of Kyrgyzstan and other state structures and enterprises of the Republic.
