Kyrgyzstan Parliament turned down Kulov candidacy for Prime Minister once again

Bishkek. January 25. Kazakhstan Today - The deputies of zhogorku kenesh (the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan) turned down Felix Kulov's candidacy for the Prime Minister post for the second time, the agency reports.

According to the legislation of the Republic, the President of Kyrgyzstan has the right to put forward the same candidature for the post of the Prime Minister three times for the Parliament consideration.

As it was informed earlier, the first voting on F. Kulov's nomination was held in the Parliament on January 18, 2007. As a result of the ballot, F. Kulov was supported by 23 deputies and 39 delegates voted against. To be approved, Kulov had to gather 38 votes.

The decision on voluntary resignation of all Kyrgyzstan cabinet headed by F. Kulov was accepted on December 19, 2006. The government of the Republic resigned "to open the road for the new reforms". All the structure of the government of Kyrgyzstan remained in office to execute their duties before the new cabinet appointment.
