Kazakhstan should create a legal mechanism allowing forming Parliament with not fewer than two parties. The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev stated during the plenary 17th annual session of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the agency reports.

Astana. June 30. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan should create a legal mechanism allowing forming Parliament with not fewer than two parties. The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev stated during the plenary 17th annual session of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the agency reports.

The leader of the state emphasized that "potential of Kazakhstan Constitution based on modern understanding of democratic pattern allows realization of some important directions of further democratization of the society."

"First, this is creation of the legal mechanism allowing shaping the Parliament with participation of not fewer than two parties. Secondly, creation of more favorable conditions for state registration of political parties," he specified.

The third direction, according to the president, is "improvement of the procedure of electoral process." The fourth direction - removal of excessive bureaucratic barriers regulating mass media activity. "The state needs to ensure that mass media activity does not become the reason of infringement of human rights, social, confessional tolerances, public security in our country," N. Nazarbayev emphasized.

"I hope our Parliament will consider these principles and suggestions," the leader of the state concluded.
