Majilis approved norms of transportation of normative documents, standards, means of measurements and standard samples

Today at the plenary session Majilis deputies approved the bill on ratification of the Protocol on introduction of amendments to the agreement on exemption from customs duties, taxes and issue of special permit for transportation of normative documents, standards, means of measurements and standard samples with the purpose of checking and metrological certifications of February 10, 1995, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - Today at the plenary session Majilis deputies approved the bill on ratification of the Protocol on introduction of amendments to the agreement on exemption from customs duties, taxes and issue of special permit for transportation of normative documents, standards, means of measurements and standard samples with the purpose of checking and metrological certifications of February 10, 1995, the agency reports.

"The goal of the protocol is elimination of technical barriers during metrological works, maintenance of unity of measurement and mutual trust to results of measurements results, realization of development, creation and improvement of reference base in CIS member states, the conclusion of Majilis committee for International Affairs, Defense and Security states.

Thus, the goods transported with the purpose of checking of calibration, collation and metrological certification, are exempted from payment of customs duties, taxes and issue of special permit.

The protocol has been approved by the commission for economic affairs at CIS Economic Council, the decision of which was signed with 8 CIS member states in Ashgabat on November 22, 2007.

The bill has been forwarded to the Senate.
