Majilis approved ratification of agreement Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan
Astana. April 22. Kazakhstan Today - Today at the plenary session of Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan the deputies passed the bill on ratification of the agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan on cooperation in construction of the Near-Caspian gas pipeline, the agency reports.
According to Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan, Sauat Mynbayev, the bill provides joint obligations of the parties on creation of favorable conditions of cooperation in the project and will allow transportation of Turkmen and Kazakhstan of 20 billion cubic meters of gas annually, including up to 10 billion cubic meters of Turkmen and 10 billion of Kazakhstan gas. Thus, realization of the agreement will allow developing export and transport potential of the country and assisting development of the economy of Kazakhstan.
