Majilis approved ratification of strategic partnership contract between Kazakhstan and France

Astana. February 24. Kazakhstan Today - The deputies of Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session today passed the bill on ratification of the strategic partnership contract between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the French Republic, the agency reports.

According to the conclusion of the Majilis Committee for International Affairs, Defense and Security, the contract on strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and France was signed on June 11, 2008 in Paris. The contract was signed for the purpose of attaching the new quality to bilateral cooperation in political, economic, military, military-technical, scientific and technical, ecological, information, humanitarian, cultural and other areas.

Two countries co-operate to strengthen peace, increase stability and safety in the European and Eurasian space, confirming the adherence to the principle of peaceful settlement of disagreements.

The parties will undertake joint efforts on diversification of the structure of goods turnover to increase bilateral trade, relative density of production with high added cost and high technologies.
