Majilis deputies approved bill on amendments to Civil Code

The Majilis deputies at the plenary session on Wednesday approved in the first reading the bill on amendments to the Civil Code, the agency reports.

Astana. April 10. Kazakhstan Today - The Majilis deputies at the plenary session on Wednesday approved in the first reading the bill on amendments to the Civil Code, the agency reports.

"The bill provides further improvement of the legislation on alienation of the objects of state ownership and their transfer to private property of legal entities and citizens," the conclusion of Majilis Committee on Legislation and Judicial-Legal Reforms states.

The conclusion explains that "the edition in force of item 3, clause 249 of the Civil Code provides alienation of the state property to the property of citizens and legal entities only within the limits of the acts for privatization.

"Privatization, sale of the state property is one of the forms of the state property. Thus, the acts in force, including the Law on Privatization, do not regulate transfer of the state property as payment of the authorized capitals by legal entities," the conclusion states.

"In this connection, the bill offers to introduce amendments to item 3, clause 249 of the Civil Code that provide such forms of property as transfer of objects of the state ownership as payment of authorized capitals of legal entities and exchange of objects of state ownership for the equivalent property being in private property," the conclusion of Majilis committee states.

The bill has been forwarded to the profile Majilis committee for preparation for the second reading.
