Majilis deputy suggested setting monument to the first President of Kazakhstan in the centre of Astana

The deputy of Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan, Tito Syzdykov, during the plenary session, suggested setting a monument to the first President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, in the centre of Astana, the agency reports.

Astana. May 27. Kazakhstan Today - The deputy of Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan, Tito Syzdykov, during the plenary session, suggested setting a monument to the first President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, in the centre of Astana, the agency reports.

"During the speech of the President of Turkey, Abdulla Gul, we were glad to hear that the monument to the President of Kazakhstan will be established in the centre of Ankara for the outstanding merits for the Turkic people," T. Syzdykov reminded.

"In this connection, I have a question: there will be a monument to Nursultan Abishevich in the centre of Ankara, to the person, thanks to whom Kazakhstan became recognized all over the world. Why can't we set a monument to our first President in the capital of Kazakhstan?," the deputy asked.

As informed earlier, the President of Turkey, A. Gul informed that the monument to N. Nazarbayev will be established in Ankara.
