Majilis passed amendments to Intellectual Property Law

The deputies of the Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session passed the amendments and additions to the Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Intellectual Property, the agency reports.

Astana. June 17. Kazakhstan Today - The deputies of the Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session passed the amendments and additions to the Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Intellectual Property, the agency reports.

As informed earlier, the deputies of Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan disagreed with the amendments introduced by the Senate to the bill on amendments and additions to the Acts on Intellectual Property. The mediation commission was created to overcome the disagreements in the bill.

According to the conclusion of the Senate Committee for Legislation and Legal Affairs, the senators introduced additions to the Criminal Code and the Code on Administrative Offences, concerning establishment of criminal and administrative responsibility "for manufacture, distribution or other use of counterfeit copies of products of radio and cable broadcasting."
