Mining enterprise suffered least from crisis

Owing to the measures undertaken by the state, mining enterprises have least suffered from the crisis. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said, addressing the employees of the power unit at the Thermal Power Plant (TPP) of the JSC SSMAE in Rudny, the agency reports.

Rudny. June 12. Kazakhstan Today - Owing to the measures undertaken by the state, mining enterprises have least suffered from the crisis. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said, addressing the employees of the power unit at the Thermal Power Plant (TPP) of the JSC SSMAE in Rudny, the agency reports.

"The state has lowered VAT and devaluated tenge so that the earned money work well in the country. As a result of the undertaken measures, the enterprise of mining branches in the country have had the minimum losses," N. Nazarbayev said.

"I have reached an agreement in the Peoples Republic of China to increase import of our ore," he said.

The President of Kazakhstan emphasized that, despite the crisis, new objects are being launched and "metallurgy remains one of the priority branches of our country."

"We will build 26 new objects," N. Nazarbayev informed.
