More than 75 % voted for new version of Kyrgyzstan Constitution

75.04 % of voters in Kyrgyzstan voted for the new version of the Constitution proposed by the President at the referendum.

Bishkek. October 23. Kazakhstan Today - 75.04 % of voters in Kyrgyzstan voted for the new version of the Constitution proposed by the President at the referendum. The representative of the Central Electoral Commission of Kyrgyzstan Gulya Ryskulov said on Monday at the press conference.

"75.04 % of voters or 1 million 851 thousand 915 people voted for the new edition of the Constitution of Kyrgyzstan," Ryskulov noted.

3.69 % of the citizens voted against. 1 million 861 thousand 440 voters or 75.45 % out of the general number of full age citizens of the Republic voted for the new edition of the Code on Elections, against - about 3 %.

As it was informed earlier, the referendum took place in Kyrgyzstan on Sunday, October 21. More than 80 % of the residents of the Republic participated in the referendum. The agenda included two questions - the new edition of the Constitution and the new Code on Elections.
