Astana. September 21. Kazakhstan Today - The deputies asked to renew the worn agricultural machinery, Kazakhstan Today reports.

"According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan's agricultural machinery park is very old. Today, the machines produced before 2000 are used for harvesting, of which the write off are 71% of combines, 83% of harvesters, 92% of tractors. To improve production farms there is a need to replace more than 30 000 combines, harvesters and 12 000 140 000 tractors. As you can see, the need for the above machines is very high," the deputy of Majilis, Aikyn Konurov says in the deputy request to the Prime Minister on Thursday.

According to him, during his visit to Kazakhstan's main grain regions he revealed that farmers, who bought or leased vehicles, faced disgusting service.

"Today, in the country there is a situation where the sale, leasing and service of agricultural machinery of known brands partially monopolized. Such a situation leads to abuse: diagnostics and breakdowns elimination is provided untimely, poor expendable materials are supplied, delivery of spare parts are delayed. There are cases when the parts are available on advance payment at a premium price of 300%. These problems lead to expensive equipment downtime in the middle of harvest and direct losses of our farmers who are seeking to renew the fleet of agricultural equipment, but are caught in a situation with no alternative," he explained.

In this regard, he asked "to consider listing these companies as the monopolies, with all obligation, or to create a healthy competition to provide the conditions for attraction to the republic of alternative suppliers of equipment and service equipment brands: John Deer, CLAAS, New Holland".
