Nagorno-Karabakh conflict not to be solved at OSCE summit

The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict cannot be solved at the summit of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Centre, Herbert Zalber, informed at a briefing, the agency reports.

Astana. November 29. Kazakhstan Today - The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict cannot be solved at the summit of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Centre, Herbert Zalber, informed at a briefing, the agency reports.

"Such a summit gives the chance to solve such problems. There will be the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan. There will be high level meetings, including with the President of Kazakhstan."

"But, we need to be realists concerning this question."

"This is a deep-rooted conflict. Thus, we, cannot expect the solution of this problem here, but it is possible to expect the atmosphere of improvement, it is possible to expect some steps forward framework conditions. Eventually, the parties of this conflict should make a decision: the OSCE, or the Minsk group, either the Presidents, or Ministers for Foreign Affairs can only contribute to this process."
