NATO Secretary General suggested Russia to organize joint missile defense exercises

The NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has suggested Russia to organize in the joint military exercises in battlefield missile defense, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

Almaty. November 4. Kazakhstan Today - The NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has suggested Russia to organize in the joint military exercises in battlefield missile defense, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

According to Rasmussen, Russia and the Alliance could renew cooperation in battlefield missile defense to protect the military forces. We already had such cooperation."

"I suggest organizing joint exercises and trying out of the forces and potential of the battlefield missile defense. Later, such cooperation could be expanded to creation of a large-scale territorial anti-missile defense. We hope the decision of this question will be made at the forthcoming summit Russia - NATO in Lisbon," he added.
