Nazarbayev and Sarkozy signed joint statement

A number of the Kazakhstan-French intergovernmental and commercial agreements were signed today in Akorda within the visit of the President of the French Republic, Nicolas Sarkozy, to Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

Astana. October 6. Kazakhstan Today - A number of the Kazakhstan-French intergovernmental and commercial agreements were signed today in Akorda within the visit of the President of the French Republic, Nicolas Sarkozy, to Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev and N. Sarkozi, signed the joint statement of the leaders of states. The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kanat Saudabayev, and Bernard Kushner, signed the agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and France on transit of military property and personnel through the territory of Kazakhstan in connection with participation of the Armed Forces of France in the efforts on stabilization and restoration of Afghanistan.

JSC KazMunaiGas Company and the French company Entrepose Contracting signed the memorandum of mutual understanding, which assumes cooperation of KazMunaiGas and Spekapag Company in the oil pipeline Eskene - Kuryk.

A total of nine agreements have been signed.
