Nazarbayev arrived in Germany

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, began his working visit to Germany today, the agency reports citing the official mass media.

Almaty. February 3. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, began his working visit to Germany today, the agency reports citing official mass media.

The structure of the official delegation includes the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Marat Tazhin, the Assistant to Kazakhstan President for International Affairs, Kayrat Sarybay, the Minister of Economy and Budgetary Planning, the co-chairman of the intergovernmental commission, Bahyt Sultanov, the Minister of Culture and Information, Muhtar Kul-Muhammed and other officials.

N. Nazarbayev will meet the Federal President of Germany, Horst Keller and the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel. The President of Kazakhstan will also meet the prominent politician Hans-Ditrih Gensher who occupied from 1974 till 1992 the post of the Foreign Minister of Germany. The leader of Kazakhstan will take part in Kazakhstan-German business-forum and the concert on the occasion of solemn opening of the Year of Kazakhstan in Germany.

The President of Kazakhstan, the Minister of Economy and Budgetary Planning of Kazakhstan, Federal Minister of Economy and Technology of Germany, Michael Gloss, and the representatives of business circles of two countries are expected to take part in the Kazakhstan-German economic forum in Berlin on February, 3rd.

The business-circles of two countries will sign some commercial agreements during the forum, in particular, in the sphere of construction of a factory on manufacture of translucent designs, a glass factory, and also in the branch of industrial laser technologies applied for oil-and gas pipelines, etc. for the sum of about 250 million euro.

The expected result from the agreements will be: total amount of German investments into Kazakhstan will amount to 215 million euro that will enable creation of more than 300 work places, in 2009, 60 Kazakhstan managers will undertake courses to improve their qualification at the advanced enterprises of Germany within 3 months, volume of the Kazakhstan investments into Germany will reach about 35 million euro.
