The head of the state, Nursultan Nazarbayev, denied rumors about further devaluation or denomination of tenge, the agency reports citing the president's press service. According to the press service, the head of the state held the working meeting with participation of the Prime Minister, chairmen of the financial block of the government, National Bank and Fund Samruk-Kazyna.

Astana. February 26. Kazakhstan Today - The head of the state, Nursultan Nazarbayev, denied rumors about further devaluation or denomination of tenge, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

According to the press service, the head of the state held the working meeting with participation of the Prime Minister, chairmen of the financial block of the government, National Bank and Fund Samruk-Kazyna.

N. Nazarbayev acquainted with the reports on the course of realization of the anti-recessionary program of the government for 2009 - 2011 in each of five directions - support of financial sector, construction branch, small and medium business, agriculture, and innovative-industrial development.

According to the press service, the President was informed that the resources of the National fund - $4 billion allocated for maintenance of stability of the financial system were directed to the second-tier banks. The leader of the state emphasized that this money should reach debtors at the minimum quantity of intermediaries.

N. Nazarbayev denied rumors about further devaluation or denomination of tenge and about cancellation of licenses of any banks, having noted the absence of any prerequisites for such radical steps.
