Nazarbayev met Prime Minister of India in Yekaterinburg

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, held a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh, during the SCO summit in Yekaterinburg, the agency reports citing the official mass media.

Almaty. June 16. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, held a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh, during the SCO summit in Yekaterinburg, the agency reports citing the official mass media.

"I am grateful for your invitation. We successfully held the negotiations in Delhi. I am satisfied with its results. We reached concrete arrangements on different branches of the economy," the head of the state said at the meeting.

N. Nazarbayev in January 2009 paid the state visit to India. During the visit, the President of Kazakhstan signed the documents in nuclear power, information technology, oil and gas, in the legal sphere, the protocol on completion of bilateral negotiations on Kazakhstan's WTO entry, and the joint declaration on strategic partnership between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of India.

Kazakhstan cooperates with India through such organizations as CICA, SCO, and the United Nations.
