Nazarbayev received representatives of contract companies of North-Caspian project

The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev received the representatives of the contract companies on the North-Caspian project on Monday, the agency reports referring to the president's press service. According to the press service, the representatives of the companies Shell, Total, Eni, ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips and Inpex arrived at Akorda to participate in the meeting with the President of Kazakhstan.

Almaty. January 15. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev received the representatives of the contract companies on the North-Caspian project on Monday, the agency reports referring to the president's press service.

According to the press service, the representatives of the companies Shell, Total, Eni, ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips and Inpex arrived at Akorda to participate in the meeting with the President of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sauat Mynbayev informed the leader of the state on the results of the negotiations carried out on behalf of the President by the government of Kazakhstan with the consortium of the companies, signed the Agreement on division of products of the Northern Caspian Sea.

In his turn, the leader of the state N. Nazarbayev noted that the Kazakhstan party adhered to fidelity of the concluded contracts on division of products, however in connection with the change of terms of receiving the oil, the budget of the country loses considerable amount of money.

As it was informed earlier, all the participants of the consortium reached the agreement, which was expressed in signing new memorandum of mutual understanding based on positions of the memorandum signed on December 20, 2007, and confirms arrangements, concerning introduction of economic changes in the product division agreement of the Northern Caspian Sea reached in December and operational model of the future oil operations in Kashagan.
