Nazarbayev sent salutatory letter to participants of EAPC Forum

The head of the state, Nursultan Nazarbayev, sent a salutatory letter to the participants of the Third Security Forum of Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC), the agency reports.

Astana. June 25. Kazakhstan Today - The head of the state, Nursultan Nazarbayev, sent a salutatory letter to the participants of the Third Security Forum of Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC), the agency reports.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Marat Tazhin, read the salutatory letter of the President at the forum. "For the first time in history of the Alliance, the Third Security Forum of Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC) is taking place in Central Asia."

"We are certain that security can be achieved only through wide cooperation, creation of regional architecture of security, constructive cooperation based on the norms of the international law," N. Nazarbayev said.

"Kazakhstan has made efforts towards creation of global movement toward a denuclearized world. One of these days, I initiated in Semipalatinsk to have Day of Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction on August, 29. We intend to submit this proposal for consideration of the United Nations Organization," the letter states.
