Nazarbayev signed amendments to Law on Veterinary Science

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, signed amendments to Law on Veterinary Science, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

Astana. July 21. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, signed amendments to Law on Veterinary Science, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

According to the press service, the head of the state signed the Law on Amendments and Additions to the Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Veterinary Science directed at improvement of the government system in the field of veterinary science.

As informed earlier, the deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan, at the plenary session on June 22, 2009, supported the initiative of the joint conciliatory commission created to overcome disagreements in the bill on amendments and additions to the acts of Kazakhstan concerning veterinary science.

According to the regulations, the law is considered accepted by the Parliament and will be forwarded to the head of the state to be signed into law.

According to the conclusion of the Senate Committee for Agriculture and Environmental Protection, the main objective of the law is improvement of the legislation of Kazakhstan in the field of veterinary science by revision of state administration and regulation of the system of veterinary science in Kazakhstan, the work of veterinary organizations, and elimination of the shortcomings concerning maintenance of adequate veterinary-sanitary conditions and safety of food products, veterinary chemicals and medical products.
