Nazarbayev suggests banning death penalty in Kazakhstan

Astana. May 16. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev suggested banning death penalty in Kazakhstan today at the joint session of the Chambers of the Parliament, the agency reports.

The Kazakhstan leader reminded that according to the legislation, death penalty is provided for especially serious crimes, but for the last four years it has not been executed due to moratorium.
