Nazarbayev to take part in third ministerial CICMA meeting

The leader of the state, Nursultan Nazarbayev, will take part in the third ministerial meeting of Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICMA), which will take place in Almaty on August 25 under presidency of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Marat Tazhin. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, informed today during weekly briefing, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - The leader of the state, Nursultan Nazarbayev, will take part in the third ministerial meeting of Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICMA), which will take place in Almaty on August 25 under presidency of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Marat Tazhin. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, informed today during weekly briefing, the agency reports.

"Before the beginning of the ministerial meeting there will be a ceremony of admission to the new member states of the organization: The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and the State of Qatar," Y. Ashikbayev said.

The delegations of 21 states will take part in the meeting - CICMA members, six countries-observers, and three international organizations-observers - the United Nations, OSCE and League of the Arabian states. Bangladesh and three international organizations - the International Migration Organization, the Eurasian Economic Community and the Organization of Economic Cooperation are invited as visitors. "This event will be preceded by the sessions of special working group and CICMA Senior Officials Committee, which will be held from August 20 till August 23, 2008," he noted.
