Nazarbayev visited Memorial of Glory and new school in South Kazakhstan

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, arrived on May 23 in the South Kazakhstan area, where he visited the Memorial of Glory opened to the 65 anniversary of the Great Patriotic War and the new school with the Kazakh language of instruction constructed under the 100 schools, 100 hospitals program, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, arrived on May 23 in the South Kazakhstan area, where he visited the Memorial of Glory opened to the 65 anniversary of the Great Patriotic War and the new school with the Kazakh language of instruction constructed under the 100 schools, 100 hospitals program, the agency reports.

The President of Kazakhstan visited granite stele of the obelisk, where more than 140 thousand named of the participants of the Great Patriotic War from the South Kazakhstan area were immortalized on the area of 1200 square meters.

N. Nazarbayev visited the new school for 1200 places. He visited the class rooms and met the students and the teachers.

As informed earlier, N. Nazarbayev met the President of Turkey, Abdulla Gul, in the evening at the airport of Shymkent, who arrived in Kazakhstan for an official visit. On Monday, the head of states plan to visit the Mausoleum of Khodja Ahmad Yasawi in Turkestan and the Ahmed Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University.
