New Akim of North-Kazakhstan region appointed

By Decree of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev Samat Eskendirovis appointed Akim of North-Kazakhstan region, the Presidential press service informed.

On January 22, Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov paid a working visit to North Kazakhstan region, where he presented the new Akim of the region Eskendirov Samat, press service of the government informed.

During the extraordinary session of the regional maslikhat S. Akhmetov read the letter of the head of the state with the offer of the candidate C. Eskendirov for the post of Akim. MPs unanimously supported the nomination.

After the session, S. Akhmetov introduced the new Akim.

"The head of state has set a challenge for Samat Saparbekovich. I'm sure all of you will actively support him, and work hard on the development of your region," said S. Akhmetov.

The Prime Minister also thanked the former head of the region Serik Bilyalov for fruitful work. "Serik Sultangazinovich headed the region for more than six years. During that time, much has been done to create new industries, support for SMEs, the development of agriculture and other sectors of the economy," said S. Akhmetov.

S. Eskendirov was a senator from North-Kazakhstan region. He was born on July 24, 1966. He graduated from Tselinograd Agricultural Institute, Kokshetau Institute of Economics and Management. He held positions of Akim of Zhambyl, Kyzylzharrayons of the North-Kazakhstan region, Deputy Akim of the North-Kazakhstan region.
