OIC experts to define date for Internal Affairs ministers' session

The meeting of the experts of the Organization of Islamic Conference for preparation for the next session of the chairmen of law enforcement bodies of the OIC member countries began on Monday in Baku, the agency reports.

Baku. October 23. Kazakhstan Today - The meeting of the experts of the Organization of Islamic Conference for preparation for the next session of the chairmen of law enforcement bodies of the OIC member countries began on Monday in Baku, the agency reports.

According to the vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Halaf Halafov, the meeting of the experts will be held till October 23.

The participants of the meeting will discuss the questions of struggle against organized crime, illegal circulation of drugs, illegal sale of weapons, coordination of the actions of law enforcement bodies of the OIC countries and will define the date of carrying out of the session of the leaders of law enforcement bodies of the OIC member countries.

"The meeting of the experts of the OIC member states is directed at strengthening cooperation and coordination of the actions of law enforcement bodies of the OIC member states. The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the OIC member states made the decision to carry out the conference of the leaders of law enforcement bodies of the OIC member states at the conference in Baku and with this purpose it was recommended that the meeting of the experts would take place in Baku so that they could set the place and the date of carrying out the conference," H. Halafov stated.

The representatives of law enforcement bodies of all OIC member states arrived in Baku to participate in the event.
