OSCE chairman to visit Bishkek

Bishkek. April 19. Kazakhstan Today - The OSCE chairman, the State Secretary - the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kanat Saudabaev, will pay a one-day-visit to Kyrgyzstan on April 20, 2010, the agency reports citing the press service of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the press service, K. Saudabaev plans to meet the chairman of the provisional government of the Kyrgyz Republic, Roza Otunbaeva, the members of the provisional government, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ruslan Kazakbaev, the representatives of political parties, and civil society. During the meetings, the officials will discuss the political situation in the country, the ways of possible cooperation, and the OSCE assistance.

The meetings with the heads of diplomatic missions of the USA, Russia, Germany, Turkey, the European Union, and UNDP are planned to be held.

"Following the results of the visit, K. Saudabaev will give a press conference."

Mass protest actions with the requirement of resignation of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Kurmanbek Bakiev, took place in Kyrgyzstan from April 6 until April 8, 2010.
