OSCE experts assessed maintenance of safe storage of ammunition in Kazakhstan

The experts of Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) assessed maintenance of safe storage of ammunition in Kazakhstan, the agency reports referring to the press service of Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.

Astana. September 15. Kazakhstan Today - The experts of Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) assessed maintenance of safe storage of ammunition in Kazakhstan, the agency reports referring to the press service of Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.

According to the press service, the meeting of the experts of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan and OSCE commission of experts concerning maintenance of safe storage of ammunition in the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan took place on September 7 - 10.

"The OSCE commission of experts headed by coordinator of projects on ammunition stock of the Forum on cooperation in the field of OSCE security, N. Petersen, assessed completeness and capacity of laboratory to provide safe storage of ammunition both for objects of storage and for the population living in nearby settlements," the press service informs.

Following the results of the meeting between the chairman of the Kazakhstan working group, General Major Nosonovsky, and the chairman of the Commission of OSCE experts, N. Petersen, the parties agreed to continue joined work on maintenance of safety of storage and improvement of practice of storekeeping of ammunition and explosives.

According to the press service, the meeting was organized by the Center for control over reduction of armaments and inspection activity at Defense Ministry of Kazakhstan and Central administrative board of operation of arms and military technology of AF of Kazakhstan in cooperation with OSCE Center in Astana.
