OSCE PA calls upon its member states to sign and ratify Kyoto Protocol

OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) urges its member states that have not signed Kyoto Protocol, to sign and ratify it. The text of Astana Declaration accepted during the 17th annual session of PA OSCE states on Thursday, the agency reports.

Astana. July 4. Kazakhstan Today - OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) urges its member states that have not signed Kyoto Protocol, to sign and ratify it. The text of Astana Declaration accepted during the 17th annual session of PA OSCE states on Thursday, the agency reports.

"The Assembly calls upon its member states that have not signed Kyoto Protocol, to sign and ratify it," the text of the declaration informs.

The Assembly suggests that its member states to develop alternative to mineral kinds of fuel energy sources and to incur obligations on transformation of global power in direction of maintenance of energy efficiency, use of alternative kinds of energy and energy saving.

OSCE MP's urge its member states to promote climate preservation, economic and commercial policy that protects against relocation of internal carbon producing industries to other areas of the world, to prevent loss of share in the market in favor of foreign carbon manufacturers and to create stimulus for other countries to reduce their emissions.
