OSCE summit in Astana came to an end

The summit of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Astana came to an end, the agency reports.

Astana. December 3. Kazakhstan Today - The summit of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Astana came to an end, the agency reports.

"The Astana summit has come to an end. I would like to thank all delegations of the OSCE member countries for constructive and substantial work. A special word of gratitude goes to all who participated in preparation and carrying out of the summit, in particular, the OSCE Secretary General and the OSCE Secretariat," the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said.

"Today, we made a very important decision. We confirmed, in the OSCE Astana Declaration, our determination to implement all the norms, the principles, and the obligations in all the OSCE dimensions.

"We intend to develop the OSCE as the community of security on a huge Eurasian space based on trust and mutual understanding between the states. We have actively begun the process towards achievement of the common aim: safety, peace, and prosperity."

"According to the item 6 of the agenda, I declare the OSCE Astana summit closed," the President of Kazakhstan said.
