"Defining energy sphere as a key area of cooperation next year is more than urgent." "All the countries are ready to promote and work actively to solve energy problems," the President of Moldova added.

As it was informed earlier, the session of the Council of the leaders of the CIS member states is taking place in Bishkek in the state residence.

The leaders of the CIS countries arrived in Bishkek on October 9. The leaders of the CIS countries are participatign in the work of the summit, except for the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Ukraine. They have sent to the capital of Kyrgyzstan their official representatives. The delegation of Azerbaijan is headed by the Prime Minister and the delegation of Ukraine - the Secretary of Security Council.

The next session of Interstate Council of the leaders of the states of the Eurasian Economic Community that includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will take place in the second half of the day. The President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, will preside over the session of Interstate EurAsEC Council.

As it was informed earlier, the proposal of Kazakhstan on defining energy as a key sphere of cooperation in 2009 was supported yesterday at the session of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CIS countries.
