Parliament creates conciliatory commission for amendments to traffic safety legislation
Astana. April 30. Kazakhstan Today - The Parliament creates the conciliatory commission on the bill on amendments and additions to the acts concerning traffic safety. The decision was accepted today at the plenary Majilis session, the agency reports.
"We have not agreed with a number of positions introduced by the Senate, therefore we suggest creating the conciliatory commission," the Majilis deputy Ramazan Sarpekov stated at the plenary session.
As it was informed earlier, the senators specified the norm concerning suspension of driving licenses. They have changed the sanction for administrative offences in the form of a lifelong suspension to seven years.
As a whole, the bill is directed at further improvement of the government in the field of traffic safety, acceptance of effective measures on decrease of the level of transport accidents, and elimination of conditions for corruption.
The bill increases terms of suspension of driving licenses to maintain traffic safety, and toughens responsibility for driving a motor vehicle in a state of intoxication.
