Parliament gave government vote of confidence

Astana. September 2. Kazakhstan Today - The Parliament of Kazakhstan gave the government vote of confidence, the agency reports.

103 deputies of the lower chamber voted for this decision today at the Majilis plenary session.

"I would like to express gratitude for the rendered trust to me and all the government," the Prime Minister Karim Masimov said. "By approving the powers of the government, you have supported all people," he said.

The Prime Minister noted that on the basis of earlier accepted program of the government and the political program of Nur Otan Party the strategic plan of development of the country will be developed. Realization of administrative reform and the program of 30 corporate leaders of Kazakhstan will be continued; social policy will be strengthened.

According to the amendments introduced to the Constitution, after the elections of the new structure of the Parliament, the Prime Minister addresses the deputies with the question of vote of confidence to the government. In case the Parliament fails to trust the government, it retires and the new structure of the Cabinet is formed. If the Parliament trusts the government, it continues its work.
