Parliament of Kazakhstan ratified Agreement on CSTO Peace-Making Activities

Today at the plenary session deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan passed the Law on ratification of the Agreement on Peace-Making Activities of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the agency reports.

Astana. October 9. Kazakhstan Today - Today at the plenary session deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan passed the Law on ratification of the Agreement on Peace-Making Activities of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the agency reports.

As it was informed earlier, the purpose of the agreement is maintenance of effective participation of CSTO and its member states in maintenance of international peace and safety activities.

According to the document, the CSTO member states create peace-making forces on a constant basis to participate in peace-making operations. Each state in conformity with the national legislation allocates on a constant basis peace-making contingents to recruit peace-making forces, which have training preparation on uniform CSTO programs, are equipped with uniform or compatible samples of arms and communications, and take part in regular joint exercises.
