Parliament of Kazakhstan ratified amendments to Agreement on CSTO Legal Status

Today at the plenary session the deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan passed the Law on ratification of the Protocol on amendments and additions to the Agreement on Legal Status of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) of October 7, 2002, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - Today at the plenary session the deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan passed the Law on ratification of the Protocol on amendments and additions to the Agreement on Legal Status of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) of October 7, 2002, the agency reports.

As it was informed earlier, the purpose of the protocol is defining legal status of permanent mission of the CSTO member states at the organization, plenipotentiaries in CSTO Permanent Council and personnel of the representation. According to the provisions of the international contract, new concepts have been introduced to the article 1 of the agreement on CSTO Legal Status of October 7, 2002. The Protocol adds the new section on privileges and immunities of the representation and its employees in the agreement.

The report was signed in Dushanbe on October 6, 2007.
