Parliament passed Law on State Defense Order

The deputies of Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session agreed with the amendments introduced by the Senate to the bill on amendments and additions to the Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan concerning state defense order. Thus, according to the regulations, the law is considered to be accepted and is being forwarded to the head of the state to be signed into law, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - The deputies of Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session agreed with the amendments introduced by the Senate to the bill on amendments and additions to the Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan concerning state defense order. Thus, according to the regulations, the law is considered to be accepted and is being forwarded to the head of the state to be signed into law, the agency reports.

According to the conclusion of the Senate Committee for International Relations, Defense and Security, the document "proposes to exclude from the defense order list goods of general use, such as combustive-lubricating materials, foodstuffs, medicine, household appliances, stationery and so forth."

The exclusion, according to the document, "is based on presence in Kazakhstan of big competitive environment among manufacturers of such products," the committee's conclusion states.
