Parliament ratified agreement between governments of Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan

The deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session today passed the law on the ratification agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan on cooperation in construction of the near-Caspian gas pipeline, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - The deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session today passed the law on the ratification agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan on cooperation in construction of the near-Caspian gas pipeline, the agency reports.

According to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan, Sauat Mynbaev, the bill provides joint obligations of the parties on creation of favorable conditions for cooperation in the project and will allow carrying out of transportation of Turkmen and Kazakhstan gas in volume of up to 20 billion cubic meters annually, 10 billion cubic meters of Turkmen and 10 billion of Kazakhstan gas. Thus, realization of the agreement will allow developing of export and transport potential of the country and will promote development of the economy of Kazakhstan.
