Parliament ratified agreement to memorandum of mutual understanding between Kazakhstan and USA

The deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session passed the law on ratification of the additional agreement to the memorandum of mutual understanding between the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the government of the United States of America for the Kazakhstan-American Program of Economic Development of May 5, 2006, the agency reports.

Astana. November 12. Kazakhstan Today - The deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session passed the law on ratification of the additional agreement to the memorandum of mutual understanding between the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the government of the United States of America for the Kazakhstan-American Program of Economic Development of May 5, 2006, the agency reports.

According to the conclusion of the Senate Committee for Economic and Regional Policy, the bill has been developed to continue cooperation of Kazakhstan and the USA in the frameworks of the Houston Initiative reached during an official visit of the Kazakhstan President to the USA in December, 2001 and directed at support of domestic small and medium business.

The memorandum of mutual understanding between the governments of two countries for the Kazakhstan-American Program for Economic Development was signed on May 5, 2006 and ratified by the Kazakhstan law on July 5, 2006 №160-III. The bill offers to ratify the additional agreement to the memorandum signed in Astana during the negotiations on February 22, 2010.
