Parliament ratified International Agreement on Establishment of International Epizootic Bureau in Paris

The deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session today ratified the International Agreement on Establishment of the International Epizootic Bureau in Paris, the agency reports.

Astana. December 4. Kazakhstan Today - The deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session today ratified the International Agreement on Establishment of the International Epizootic Bureau in Paris, the agency reports.

As informed earlier, the law "will allow Kazakhstan passing at the legislative level the norms and the requirements of the International Epizootic Bureau and applying the norms of the Sanitary Code for animals, being a guide for the international trade in animals, products and raw material of animal origin," Vice Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Armand Evniev, said presenting the bill in Majilis.

According to Vice Minister, ratification of the agreement will render positive influence on the international cooperation in the field of veterinary science, trade in animals, or products and raw materials made of them.

According to Majilis Committee for International Affairs, Defense and Security, joining the International Agreement on Establishment in Paris of the International Epizootic Bureau is one of the basic requirements for WTO membership.

The document has been forwarded to the head of the state to be signed into law.
