Parliament ratified Kazakhstan and Finland double taxation avoidance agreement

The deputies of the Senate of Parliament at the plenary session today passed the law on ratification of the agreement between the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the government of the Finnish Republic on double taxation avoidance and prevention of evasion from income taxes, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - The deputies of the Senate of Parliament at the plenary session today passed the law on ratification of the agreement between the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the government of the Finnish Republic on double taxation avoidance and prevention of evasion from income taxes, the agency reports.

The agreement and the protocol were signed on March 24, 2009 in Helsinki. The purpose of the agreement is strengthening and expansion of economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Finland by creation of favorable investment conditions. The agreement shall apply to persons - residents of one or both contractual states.

The agreement shall apply to income taxes collected on behalf of the contracting state or its local authorities.
