Parliament ratified Protocol Additional to Geneva Conventions on Additional Distinctive Emblem

The deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session today passed the Law of Kazakhstan on Ratification of the Protocol Additional to the Geneva Conventions of August, 12th, 1949, concerning acceptance of Additional Distinctive Emblem (Report III), the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - The deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session today passed the Law of Kazakhstan on Ratification of the Protocol Additional to the Geneva Conventions of August, 12th, 1949, concerning acceptance of Additional Distinctive Emblem (Report III), the agency reports.

According to the conclusion of the Senate Committee for International Relations, Defense and Security, the objective of the protocol is acknowledgement and addition of the new distinctive emblem 'Red Crystal' of the regulations of the Geneva Conventions and two protocols to them concerning distinctive emblems of 'Red Cross' and 'Red Crescent'. In this Protocol it is called 'the emblem of the third Protocol'.
