PM met with Chevron Head J.Watson

J.Watson, in his turn, said that he was proud of the history of Chevron activities in Kazakhstan as long as partner relations were established between the leadership of the company and the Government of Kazakhstan over 20 years of productive cooperation.

Almaty. December 14. Kazakhstan Today - Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov met with Chairman of the board of Chevron Corporation John Watson in the Ukimet Uyi Thursday.

According to the Prime Minister's official website, the sides discussed the prospects for expansion of bilateral cooperation. J.Watson also informed S.Akhmetov about implementation of projects on development of Kazakhstani fields and prospects of Chevron activities in the country.

"We closely watch the activities of Chevron Corporation in Kazakhstan and we are familiar with al promising projects of the corporation. The Ministry of Oil and Gas on behalf of the Government of Kazakhstan supports your activities in our country," S.Akhmetov said.

J.Watson, in his turn, said that he was proud of the history of Chevron activities in Kazakhstan as long as partner relations were established between the leadership of the company and the Government of Kazakhstan over 20 years of productive cooperation.

"This year, the corporation has conducted the largest capital repair in the history of Tengizchevroil and in the history of our global projects. We attracted 6500 employees additionally. Almost all works were conducted by Kazakhstani employees and companies. This will allow to increase the oil production in future," the head of Chevron said.
