President of Kazakhstan pays visit to India

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, started his state visit to India, the agency reports citing the press secretary of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Ilyas Omarov.

Almaty. January 23. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, started his state visit to India, the agency reports citing the press secretary of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Ilyas Omarov.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the visit of the President of Kazakhstan, N. Nazarbayev, to the Republic of India will last till January, 26th. During the visit the head of the state will take part in celebrations of the Day of the Republic of India in Delhi.

As informed earlier, following the results of the negotiations of the President of the state, the parties will sign some of the documents on a broad range of bilateral cooperation, including energy sphere, peaceful exploration of outer space, cultural-humanitarian area, information technologies, and education," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan informs.

The investment business-forum with participation of the representatives of the business-circles of two countries will take place during the visit.

According to Y. Ashikbayev, the purpose of the forum is expansion of mutual business ties and search of opportunities for realization of perspective projects both in Kazakhstan and in India."

According to the press service, Kazakhstan is the largest trading partner of India in Central Asia: the Kazakhstan-Indian trade accounts for more than half of commodity turnover of India with the countries of the region.
