President of Kyrgyzstan sent government in resignation

The President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev sent the cabinet of ministers in resignation today.

Bishkek. October 24. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev sent the cabinet of ministers in resignation today. The leader of the state informed at the government session, the agency reports.

"The government should retire from the date of coming into force of the Law on the new edition of the Constitution of the Kyrgyzstan Republic." According to the norm, I signed the Decree on resignation of the government," K. Bakiyev stated.

According to the leader of the state, resignation is not connected in any way with an assessment of the results of the work of the cabinet of ministers. The President emphasized that the government headed by the Prime Minister coped with the majority of the assigned objectives." In this connection, K. Bakiyev asked all members of the government to continue execution of the duties before formation of new structure of the cabinet of ministers.

The President noted that, accordi to the Constitution, the candidature for the post of the Prime Minister will be put forward by that party that will receive the majority of voices at the parliamentary elections. K. Bakiyev expressed hope that by the end of 2007 formation of the new structure of the government of Kyrgyzstan will be completed.

As it was informed earlier, A. Atambayev has headed the government of Kyrgyzstan in March 2007.
