Almaty. February 8. Kazakhstan Today - The President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, confirmed the military doctrine and the bases of the state policy in the field of nuclear restraint until 2020, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

According to ITAR-TASS, on February 5, the President of the Russian Federation held the meeting with the permanent security councilors of Russia. "The President of the Russian Federation informed the meeting participants that he confirmed two documents: the military doctrine and the bases of the state policy in the field of nuclear restraint until 2020," ITAR-TASS informed.

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, the head of the administration of the Kremlin, Andrey Naryshkin, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Nikolay Patrushev, Vice Premier of the Russian Federation, Sergey Sobyanin, the Ministers of Defense of the Russian Federation Anatoly Serdyukov and Internal Affairs, Rashid Nurgaliev, СВР Director, Michael Fradkov, FSB Director, Alexander Bortnikov, and the speakers of both Chambers of Parliament of the Russian Federation, Sergey Mironov and Boris Gryzlov, took part in the meeting.
