President of Turkmenistan, first vice President of CIS Executive Committee met in Ashkhabad

The meeting of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov with the first vice President of CIS Executive Committee, the CIS Executive Secretary Vladimir Garkun took place in Ashkhabad on Tuesday during the working trip of the delegation of the CIS Executive Committee to Turkmenistan, the agency reports referring to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

Kazakhstan Today - The meeting of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov with the first vice President of CIS Executive Committee, the CIS Executive Secretary Vladimir Garkun took place in Ashkhabad on Tuesday during the working trip of the delegation of the CIS Executive Committee to Turkmenistan, the agency reports referring to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

According to the press service, during the talks the questions, concerning preparation for carrying out of the session of the Council of the leaders of the governments of the Commonwealth of Independent States planned for November, 22, 2007 in the capital of Turkmenistan were discussed.

"V. Garkun informed the President on the work done by the CIS Executive Committee on preparation for this major event of the Commonwealth. In his turn, G. Berdymukhamedov gave necessary assignments on maintenance of successful organization and carrying out of the session," the press service noted.

According to the CIS Executive Committee, the project of the agenda of the Council of the leaders of the CIS governments, approved at the session of the Ministerial Council of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth taken place on October 4, 2007 in Dushanbe, includes 25 questions.

"The leaders of the governments will consider the documents regulating interaction of the CIS member states in the field of economy, migration, education, transport, customs policy, and budgetary-financial sphere," the press service explained.
