The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, placed a capsule in the building of a multi-storey complex Abu-Dhabi Plaza in Astana, the agency reports.

Astana. August 28. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, placed a capsule in the building of a multi-storey complex Abu-Dhabi Plaza in Astana, the agency reports.

"Today we begin one of the largest projects in Astana. The leadership of Arab Emirates renders support in the conditions of the world financial crisis," N. Nazarbayev said.

"This complex costs about $2 billion and will have 88 floors. It will be one of the highest buildings in the world. It will have: apartments, five-star hotels, entertaining centers, trading platforms, theatres and many other."

As informed earlier, the governments of Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates signed the agreement on construction in Astana of Abu-Dhabi Plaza complex on June 11, 2009.
