President signed Secret Service Law

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, signed the Secret Service Law, the agency reports citing the president's press service. According to the press service, the head of state signed the Secret Service Law directed at regulating the status, competence, and organization of the work of secret service bodies.

According to the press service, the head of state signed the Secret Service Law directed at regulating the status, competence, and organization of the work of secret service bodies.

"The text of the law has been published in mass media."

As informed earlier, the secret service bill was accepted by the Parliament of Kazakhstan on April 29, 2010.

"The National Security Committee was engaged in investigation and counterspionage. The KNB system stopped performing the functions connected with external investigation. The secret service agency has been created by the president's decree. The commission needs to develop the bill and to be introduced in the Parliament," the Senate deputy, Baurzhan Muhamedzhanov, explained in an interview to journalists.
