The presidential elections of Kyrgyzstan will take place on October 10, 2010. Vice chairman of the provisional government of Kyrgyzstan for the constitutional reform, Omurbek Tekebaev, informed on live air broadcast on the state television channel, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

Almaty. April 22. Kazakhstan Today - The presidential elections of Kyrgyzstan will take place on October 10, 2010. Vice chairman of the provisional government of Kyrgyzstan for the constitutional reform, Omurbek Tekebaev, informed on live air broadcast on the state television channel, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

"The constitutional reform referendum will take place on June 27 before the presidential elections," O. Tekebaev informed.

The last presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan took place in the summer 2009. Kurmanbek Bakiev received a majority of votes in the previous elections. A few days ago, he had to leave the country under opposition pressure.
